The North Face Climb Festival is a two-day outdoor event I produced in cities around the world - at Navy Pier in Chicago, Canary Wharf in London, and Brooklyn Bridge Park in NYC - with hundreds of world-class athletes and thousands of attendees. The experience centers around a “deep water solo” climbing competition, with elite athletes competing head-to-head on a 55’ high wall, without ropes, atop a barge, over water. The activation also features panel discussions, film premieres, DJs and bouldering walls for guests to try.
This free public event works in tandem with Global Climbing Day efforts, aimed at growing and diversifying the sport of climbing by lowering barriers of entry, and introducing new audiences to the world of climbing.
